Gunung Rinjani Mountain is Indonesia’s 2nd highest volcanic mountain with 3,725 M height. A trek to the summit is one of the most challenging experiences you can have in Indonesia and definitely worth it.

The Day You Arrive at Lombok Praya Airport , or any others port in Lombok as Lembar/ Bangsal harbor ,Teluk Kodek or maybe from any main object tourist in ( Mataram, Senggigi, Kuta lombok,3 (Gilis Trawangan, Meno, Air) and will pick up by our representative staff, then transfer to your hotel in Senaru Or Sembalun where is the place you can meet with your trekking guide and porters then will Free briefing and explain the trekking procedure and prepare for your trips, exercise To Waterfall Sindang Gile and Tiu Kelep Waterfall The day before your trek start
Wake up at 6.00am and get breakfast at 6.30-40 and our special mountain car will ready to bring us to sembalun village for 45minute /1 hour ,arrive here approx 8.00am then Registration in Rinjani Information Center (RIC) 1051 m and start the trek to Pos 1 (Pemantauan) 1300 m, walking time is about 2 hours. We take a rest for 5/10 minute at Pos 1 ( pemantauan,) and then continue to Pos 2 (Tengengean) 1500 m walking time about 1 hour. We take short break here for 5 to 10 minutes at Pos 2 ( Tengengean ), and then we continue our journey to Pos 3 (Pada Balong ) 1800 m, walking time is approx 1 hour. We rest for 2 hours at Pos 3, then your guide and porters prepare for lunch, and a hot drink (tea, coffee, hot chocolate or lemon tea). After lunch and a rest, we continue to heading Sembalun Crater Rim (Pelawangan Sembalun) 2639M, walking time 3 hours including a prolonged steep climb. We will camp the night at Sembalun Crater Rim, then from here we can enjoy the awesome views. As the sun sets, and sunrise for the next morning , Segara Anak lake, Sembalun village, the summit of mount Rinjani half of north lombok can be seen from here
We wake up at 02:30 am and have some light breakfast then leave at 03:00 am we start the trek to heading Rinjani Summit (3726 m). Walking time approximately 3 hours and 20 minutes. The first stage is a moderate climb for 120 minutes, while the second stage is a fairly easy but long trek. The last hour is very steep and difficult. (There are many loose stones, and as you take two steps forward you will slip one step back). From the Summit, you can see all of Lombok island, Bali, Sumbawa and Segara Anak Lake. After sunrise we will go down to the Sembalun crater rim and have a hot breakfast. After breakfast and a rest, we will go down to the lake and hot spring the trail down is very steep and slippery beware and extra carefully we need 3 hours to get in to the lake and hot spring,the lunch will be provide by the lake and hot spring just 100m walk from the lake then we will explore the lake and swiming bye hot spring soak in and healing your skin as medicine during on the lake fishing bye the local people can be arrange here too,camping and sleeping with your own dinner here.
We will leave from the lake after lunch time and go up to the crater Rim of Senaru for 3 hours walking up this route and trail quite top and steep up and stony we need to be careful and we will reach this point of the place we called second nice views from the summit, where you can enjoy the incredible sunset over the mountain Agung in bali and the smoke trough tout from the hole of the new volcano by the lake camping and enjoying your Dinner here,
After breakfast and enjoying the sunrise, and taking the picture with beautiful scenery of the lake we will go down to Senaru village for 4-5 hour back down and including break and lunch on the way between pos2 or pos extra ,then we will arrive at senaru Rinjani Trekking Centre around 12.30am to 13.00 then our private car will bring to your next destination as ( Gilis island, senggigi, Mataram or Lombok international airport) good luck end of service.
The most relaxed way to reach the mountain is to fly directly to Lombok International Airport and then take a long drive to the foot of Mount Rinjani. It’s about 3 hours when you go through Mataram and orbiting half the island before eventually getting to Rinjani. Its topography is a long windy road on cliffs with varieties of wild monkeys on the side of the way.
Alternatively, if you can’t fly straight to Lombok, another way is to journey through Jakarta or fly into Bali and then board a boat to Lombok. But, this would take much time before you arrive, and you might have to stay overnight somewhere.
Lombok offers many dream beaches, friendly and entertaining people, tasty food and fantastic nature.
The Gili islands
The Gilis are very popular for snorkeling and scuba diving most importantly for swimming, partying and relaxing. Over here, you can feel the lively reggae and mushroom vibe. The Gili islands are a must. You can also notice the Colourful underwater world of the Gilis by snorkeling. If you are lucky, you can spot turtles.
Mount Rinjani
This is the second-highest volcano of Indonesia and one of the tourist attractions of Lombok. The pictures speak for themselves. You can book multi-day tours and experience the Crater Lake or even to the top at all tourist spots.
BEACH
Senggigi Beach
Most tourists arrive in Senggigi because it’s the main arena for major hotels. It’s also significant for excellent food and nightlife. Senggigi Beach is also one of the most famous surf spots tourists as well as for locals.
Mawun Beach
This beach has soft white sand and turquoise water. The beach is a bit out-of-the-way and is located west of Kuta in an almost enclosed bay, which you can easily reach with your scooter as well.
Pink Beach
Located in the south-eastern district of Jerowaru and is about a two-hour drive from the island’s capital of Mataram. The name is derived from the texture of the sand. The sand is pink. Locally referred to it as Tangsi Beach. You will enjoy it if you are here just for the tranquility and scenery.
WATERFALLS
There are numerous waterfalls in Lombok, mostly in the northern part of the island.
The Benang Kelambu and Benang Stokel fall – These are twin falls in the central Lombok highlands. It’s about an hour’s drive from the capital of Mataram. The roads are well paved, and the surrounding area features local roadside stalls selling souvenirs and refreshments. You will also see a local tropical fruit plantations along the route.
Tiu Umbak Waterfall – This is one of island’s hidden natural gems. From Gumantar village, it’s around an hour’s walk down a forested trail to get to the leading site. The magnificent 50-metre waterfall lies at the end of the trail, with large boulders at its base surrounding a small freshwater pool, where you can enjoy a dip and cool down.
Sindang Gila Waterfall – This is located at Senaru and it’s actually the first waterfall and easiest to reach. The paved path is easy to follow with about 215 steps towards the base of the falls. You will also be attracted to the varieties of little monkeys jumping around. The falls thunderous noise could be heard long before you reached it. The view is amazing. It’s about 600 meters above sea level. You will see fresh water falling from a height of about 31 meters down through two levels of mountainous jungle into a fresh river where people can actually swimming.
Tiyu kelep waterfall – This is also located at Senaru, not too far from Sindang Gila Waterfall. The waterfall is like a vision out of a movie. In fact you will stood in awe looking at this magnificent tropical view. This is a thunderous waterfall in amongst lush green jungle. Nature is indeed beautiful. The noise can be deafening but you will love it. You need to be brave to walk into the falls to feel its magnificent power. The beautiful area was formed by andesite lava that flowed from Mount Rinjani.
Sade Sasak culture
The Sasak culture is captivating, and as a visitor you certainly need to experience the event along with the music and dances. Also, their food is well known for its spiciness. There are numerous wedding parades on Lombok, especially on the weekends which is a must-see because of the “Gendang Beleq” musicians.
You will sleep cuddled in a tent at a campsite on the crater rim or by the lake. The tents and camp pillows are clean and modern. You won’t be lonely at your campsite because hundreds of other trekkers will be camping right alongside you.
You will see full-on camp kitchens being set up on the mountain. On Rinjani, you get a plate of vegetables, tofu and tempeh, a pile of freshly cooked rice crackers, all the rice you can eat, plus a massive fruit plate for dessert. And that’s just the vegetarian option. This meal is not unusual. Everything you will eat on Rinjani will be freshly cooked and plentiful. There will be so much food that you will rarely finish your meals.
Mount Rinjani trekking opens from April because the January rainy season trekking can really get dangerous. April and May are the quietest months. You will get to see the best views as the landscape is incredibly green. The best time to climb Mount Rinjani would be around May to enjoy the best views and quieter crowds.
The weather on the Mount Rinjani and on the way is mostly rainy, damp, cold or sunny. It is cold at night and you will need warm clothing
The Senaru route passes through the rain forest starting from 600m and going to a 2000m height. This route is used when you visit Senaru crater hot spring and lake without climbing the summit.
The Sembalun route is used to get to the summit. This route starts at an altitude of 1.100m, passes through a vast meadow and views on the way. Takign this route is your choice because mostly on the second day of the tour, you can climb the summit of Rinjani Mountain. This route can be hot too
You can leave your luggage with our coordinators under the foot of Mount Rinjani. You can have all your luggage back after the trek ends. For our guests, your luggage safe.
No, they don’t. Porters that will be provided for you are in charge to carry all logistic for the trek program only. But you can pay an extra fee for a porter to carry your excess luggage.
Yes. We carry the first aid kits with us but you are required to bring any specific medicine you take. Light sunny clothes to wear.
